Woodworking Community. Good news for those who don't care! · Mon Aug 25, 05:31 PM
I’ve been active on the internet for over a decade, and online for quite a bit longer (GeNIE, Prodigy, and BBS’s). In the past couple of days, I managed to stumble into a web community that is by far the friendliest, most welcoming community I’ve encountered in all that time: Lumberjocks.com. I wasn’t expecting this, as the usual “community” consists of a smattering of articles and maybe a dying forum or two. This was definitely a pleasant surprise
.
Given that my blog has not in the past been heavily (or at all) oriented toward woodworking, and that I’ve actually found a place where tales of crafting wood will be celebrated, rather than endured
, I’m going to be posting my wood-related material on my Lumberjocks blog. I’ll try to drop a notification here on occasion, but if you want all the gory details, you’ll have to peek in over there (or subscribe to my LJ blog feed).
That is all. You may continue pining for the fjords.
