G4TV.com has a new web series, called Freestyle 101, where various rappers will show up and drop a freestyle. The first episode is up, with Devin the Dude giving up a couple minutes on the mic.

For reasons unknown, YouTube seems pretty broken tonight (like, click Refresh 4-6 times, and maybe you’ll get to the right page…). Hopefully it’ll be all better for you. Once you’ve whetted your appetite with the Dude, check out a dope Murs vs. Eyedea freestyle battle. Then you can watch Murs’s Risky Business video (featuring Shock G and Humpty), but be forewarned: Murs has been known to step over the line between “risqué” and “downright nasty.”

And in the “local upcoming events” category, there’s going to be a Brother Ali Remix Battle at the Dinkytowner on April 17th (only $3 to attend), and a show on the 19th, also at the Dinkytowner, featuring One Be Lo (formerly One Man Army of Binary Star), Prof & Rahzwell, Mac Spillz, and Die.Ode. Amazing what you can get for $7. (Stay away from the $3 Jag Bombs, though….)
