I picked up a bottle of Sauza Tres Generaciones Plata the other day (Plata = blanco = silver). This is the same brand as that being drunk by Bill in Kill Bill 2, though that was the Añejo variety. I’ve been sticking with blancos lately, though, as I think I’ve mentioned before. I generally prefer them to the reposados and añejos.
Anyway, this is the first time I’ve tried any of the Tres Generaciones varieties. It was pretty good (as one would expect for the price…close to $40 for the bottle). It was fairly full-bodied for a blanco, with a strong attack, a bit of alcohol edge and some pepper to the taste. It’s a decent contender, but I’d have to rate it below El Tesoro and Corazon.
