A music links post! · Sat May 27, 11:55 AM
Haven’t done one of these in a while. I’ve run across some good stuff.
Looking for bass? Look no further than Trouble & Bass. They’ve got some phat mixes.
DJ Gorky has a mix, Electro Pancada, up over at lemon-red.
We Eat So Many Shrimp has a sweet mix posted, including the likes of Juvenile, Das Efx, Clipse, and Trick Daddy.
Over at hiphopmusic.com they’ve got a video of the late Skeeter Rabbit showing off Boogaloo Style. Unfortunately the embedded YouTube video clips don’t seem to work too well in Opera. Load this page up in Firefox, or view the video on its YouTube page.
There are some classic videos over at Cocaine Blunts & Hip Hop Tapes (which you should also check out, as they have the new Outkast track and a Pharaohe Monch remix, among others).
There’s a wide variety of randomness going on at silence is a rhythm too. The hip-hop playground tune 24 Robbers (check the bottom of the post for the link) is excellent. Also check out the disco Star Wars and classic “Your Woman” by White Town. Bound to find something you like on this blog.
I found another site, aurgasm (added to my sidebar), which carries a wide variety of music. They have a nice layout, and (bonus!) every post tells you right at the top what genre of music the linked tracks belong to. Courtesy the same source, check out some mad crutch dancing by Bill Shannon (“Crutch Master”).
Finally, the lead pipe upside the head award for spelling goes to 7-11, and their abomination P’EatZZa.
